farming the kappa out side Napuli quarters near babuabo is an amazing place to farm celesitals. used to go as a perma. with basic 3 perma skills GoLE,Radiation Field,Ear Bite, Immolate and Dark Escape(to make run faster) Ball up all 30+ mobs and Zealous scythe the boss and use ear bit on him and GoLE+Rad Field 3 times all mobs die . Get about 2-5 gold drops a run. 3 celestial weapons in 1 run. maybe a build can be made for this again.

If they are anything like the kappa outside of gyala hatchery...they might be able to be degened to death.
I only chose the mantids becuase they are right next to a town and drop something I may want, making for a quick farm. I believe you have to run to the kappa in the undercity, right?

Buh tho you said gives 8 secs but look at the recharge - intensity is 45 secs recharge with 10 secs use - buh is around 20 secs recharge an altho you need dwarf rep it will prove a lot better - 10 secs every 45 ( intensity ) vs 16 secs every 40 or 1 step further 24 secs use for every 60 secs .
It is worth it and if you`ve done eotn use ele to farm dwarf points via snowmen lair - easy.

Nice build and guide. Thanks.
May I also add that this works in HM with Vermin in Xaquang Skyway too? I swapped "By Ural's Hammer!" for Elemental Lord just for a heal as they have Jagged Strike.

I forgot that the most danger from Vermin came from knockdown from a SPELL. I shoulda known this would have worked as long as you had some counter for degen lol.
Nice find.

Is there any way that you could post a map or detailed directions of where exactly you farm at. I have been trying to figure out this farm and can't seem to find the place that you are working at.
Thanks for the help.

Nevermind, they do drop swords, bows, and daggers from what I've seen. I've gotten a hammer and staff out of the chest, so they should drop everything. I don't think it would be set to only drop some weapon types and not others.

I have been trying to find a place to use this build in nightfall but have been unable to so far. Does anyone know of a place that this build or a slightly modified build would be able to farm in nightfall?

You can clear most of Plains of Jarin HM with:
Stoneflesh Aura
Stone Striker
Mantra of Earth
Aura of Restoration
Sliver Armor
+3 attack skills (probably Crystal Wave, Teinai's Crystals, and Shockwave [E])
It's not exactly the same build, but the core is there. You can run whatever attack spells you want.
Note: I haven't run this in a long time, and I don't know precisely how much it makes, but it's ok. Also, avoid mandragors.

What about the spikes from the plants Marty - without obby flesh you tend to be in constant degen .
Yesterday i went on a quick plant run , gos/obby/stoneflesh/striker/mantra of earth/sliver/buh/eboh and worked a treat.
Vermin are fun but i found a guildie with bonding monk - mending , watchful spirit is basically all you need and vermin is easy - mending/watchfull counters the bleeding they constantly inflict also the damage the boss does - its only around 4 dmg but in hm with sliver an a mob if he isnt killed first then he can take a chunk of hp off you - only annoying part is finding a way to keep vermins close when they teleport away an heal.

If you just want celestial weapons, and don't mind running chests, leave Zin Ku into Tahnakai Temple. Run to the Temple Guardians and find the 1-3 chests by them. You will find ALL types of celestial weapons (+clouded mauls and salient dags) in these chests...just a thought.

Is this in hard or normal mode? And have you beaten the mission in the mode that you are running the chests in? I tried to find some chests in there on both normal and hard mode and after multiple runs didn't find any.

Perhaps. I haven't run that build in a long time (there are better runs), but the Mesmer ones were pretty easy (just spam enchantments on recharge if you need the health). The group with the Ele boss was a bit tricky, but it was doable. It was just a bit of practice.

Been messing with ele ( same build as i said a few posts up ) along with wife being a bonder on vermin hm - went from senji`s up thru the vermin to exit then rezone an ran back down ( so 2 runs ) and between us including chests we opened we got 7 celestials and 2 gold swords.Quite surprised at that tbh as it was probably luck was with us yesterday. The only thing to watch is the boss as his attacks are just over what can be covered - even used 10 ar vs earth shield which dropped the dmg but not enough to zero it.
I will say that the non attacking when under obby flesh is a big pain as now you have to run fully enchanted into a mob rather than bow pull

I run in Hard Mode from Zin Ku Corridor after beating the TT mission. You have to run for about 40 seconds (north) before you hit enemies, but you will see 1-3 chests in a small area of Temple Guardians.

Yep I can confirm The Mountain's tip... I think this is my new place to farm for awhile lol. Just follow the directions given so you'll end up by the north east rez shrine where the Temple Guardians first appear hostile, and there have been at least 1-2 chests for me.
After 3 runs, I got a set of celestial daggers (req 13), a celestial shield (req12), two celestial staves (DF and channeling - both req 12) and an elite monk tome. I'm hoping the reqs go down some, but so far it's fun!
I just use a generic E/Rt spirit spam (and PI since the Guardians use lots o' fire magic) and bring a full team of H&H, since they don't affect chest drops and makes it faster.
Need to buy more lockpicks now, then go back for more!

well since we are talking about celestial chest drops, a god place for celestial items is the spot where vermin are in xanquang skyway.
usually 2-3 chest, got a shield, staff, daggers, sword, and scepter so far.
